There is “Grandmother Theory” in research from anthropology and zoology on why human became major spices in earth among other spices. This indicates grandmother made it. Only humans have menopause among another Mammalia. So, grandmother helps daughter to care for her children together. That raises survival rate of children. This co-parenting of grandmothers is more effective than solo parenting. This can be a crucial element of prevailing human species. Sacrifice of grandmother contributed to human dominance.
Ant has social life and there is sacrificed to contribute to others Survival. Some cases they sacrifice themselves to keep their own family group. They are prevailing on as well on earth.
Sacrifice often might keep their own group or community. Parents sacrifice themselves for their children. So, they deserve to be honored. Word of God commands us to honor parents.
Let us read together Ephesians 6:1-3,
“Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. “Honor your father and mother which is the first commandment with a promise. That it may go well with you, and you may enjoy long life on the earth.”
Obeying my parents in the Lord if right. This is This is commandment of God, which is we must follow as children of God.
God creates all life. Parents is the tool of God’s creation. Through them God send children to this world. So, must obey them.
And this is the first commandment with a promise. God promises to give going well and long life there for children honoring their parents. In ten commandments only this one has a promise.

Other ones have “Donot” orders while only 4th and 5th order has “Do” orders in ten commandments. Remembering God’s Day and Obeying your parents are these.
And God promises as this in Exodus 20:6,
“but showing love to a thousand generations; of those who love me and keep my commandments.”
In Book of Genesis, Issac was son of Abraham and was about to die on the mountain by his father and became of inheritor of faith according to God. He was moderate and obeyed well to his father and became a great father of all descendants. God blessed him to get a hundred times of harvest a year and to be long life on the land the Lord was giving.

Brothers and sisters in the Lord,
Let us love your father and mother with Word of God.
The goal of parents is happiness of their children. So, do not make them painful or trouble instead be happy. This is right and will of God to us.
When the passage of life made by God is happy, we can be happy as well.
One of condition for human happiness is to have good relationships with family, especially with parents. This is God’s blessing to us for our happiness in life.
God wants us to be happy in giving this commandment with a promise. He wants us to go well and long life in the land the Lord is giving us.

After that I recommend showing more love to your parents when they live. If not, you might Express your love to your parent. They might not wait for you to grow up.
