“Sacrifice That God Pleases” (Hebrews 13:15-19)
May the grace and love of God be upon you who is listening to God’s voice today in this worship.
When we see the crime of human trafficking at Cambodia, if a nation is corruption and earns from proceeds of crime, it shows that how much human right is destroyed in their society. China punishes by death penalty on this crime, so they seem to move to east south Asia nations. In Cambodia there are this crime victims coming from 100 countries. It is horrible crime to destroy human body and spirit. Government turns a blind eye to crime because half of nation production comes from these proceeds of crime.
It is not almost a government to keep life and security of their people. Righteousness is important to any community including nations. To recover the right function of the nation I think they must accept Word of God and listen voice of God with righteousness and love after throwing away idols and sinful culture.
Let us read together Hebrew 13:15-17 together.
“Through Jesus, therefore, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise, the fruit of lips that confess his name.
And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased. Obey your leaders and submit to their authority. They keep watch over you as men who must give an account. Obey them so that their work will be a joy, not a burden, for that would be of no advantage to You.”
Saints must offer sacrifice of praise to God and go good doing before God. Worship is completed by good doing. Through good doing we can prove our faith to God.
If one doesn’t practice well after serving worship, it might be true faith. True worshipper works true practice and true doing. From the early church this kind of churches has been survived in history through authentic gospel of Jesus Christ, righteousness and love.
Brothers and sisters in the Lord,
Let us practice sharing with others according to direction of our Lord Jesus Christ as children of God to worship Him.
If church follows way of the secular world, the life of church might disappear. Let us keep our great spiritual tradition to love others and share good things with them as true worshippers. This will please God who love us and save us from sin and judgement.
Worshipper takes after characteristic of God so that they bear good fruit of life. We belong to God, not belong to secular world.
So, we like to worship to God and like to do good to others. Verse 16 say,
“And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.”
Only sacrifice pleasing God will be remained. God please us worshipping and sharing. This is proof of being children of God to do.
Verse 15 say,
“Through Jesus, therefore, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise, the fruit of lips that confess his name.”
Worship is important because we are created by God and Are sanctified by worship. We must offer our love to God through worship every Lord’s Day. We gather to worship God. This is evidence of our faith alive. And doing good and sharing with others is completion of our worship to God.
We are salt and light in the world. Lord said to us. This means we have mission to brighten this world by our worship and our good doing.
Matthew’s Gospel 5:16 say,
“In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.”
Our living God that we believe hates sins and love righteousness. We follow this mind of God through worship and practice what we learn through good deeds in the world. This is way of our mission to deliver love of God on earth.
So, faith can recover life and society and even nation through what God directs us.
Rome empire persecuted strongly on church in more 400 years. But church finally overcame the evil and secular power and made them to be Christian to follow God’s direction.
Sin cannot defeat love of God. God loves sinners and forgives them by blood of Jesus Christ and heal every life. Half century ago China persecuted church and expelled may missionaries. People thought churches almost died but there are 100 million people of secret church in the China tp worship God.
Any social system as Communist regime, totalitarianism cannot overcome the power of life from Word of God in Jesus Christ. Because all human being has image of God who created and reign.
True power to keep and protect life come from hand of God, not from any human idea. Because we are all created by true creator, God Almighty.

Ler us share love of God with every nation and everyone. So, make all life and community bright and peaceful. This is our gift and mission on earth as children of God.
Wherever gospel of Jesus Christ entered, life healed and recovered by power of living God. This is blessing from God, creator.
One of streets downtown in a city of Texas was not in a very good environment due to crime and homelessness. One day a church entered there, and people began to visit there. After 10 years, there are big changes to be clean and safe and an even attractive place in the city.
People with love of God will shine others because of their spiritual and physical gift.
Romans 8:2 say,
“because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit if life set me free from the law of sin and death.”
God be with all of you, Amen.
