Student Information on spring term of 2022 of Austin First Korean School

 Welcome all students registered in spring term of 2022 AFKS (K School of AKFPC)

 Austin First Korean School managed by Austin Korean First Presbyterian Church provides distinguished course of improving Korean language skill. Curriculum consists of 4 sessions; Korean Bible reading in worship, and speaking, listening, reading, writing with Korean language, and lunch, and one choice from ping pong, basketball, dance, book club in PE time on every Saturday (14 Saturdays) from 10am to 1:30pm each day.

 The classes are assigned as fall term was. New students in this semester will be assigned class after level test on the first day and will be provided text book according to fitted level. Text books and media resource which used in class are issued and published Education Department of Korea Government for second generation in abroad, especially English speaking.

Lunch will be freshly cooked and provided by kitchen teachers with some church member’s assistance. Food will be healthy and nutritious as homemade food.  This would be helpful for students to rise up immune system.

This semester is designed by teachers prayerfully to be useful curriculum for students to learn Korean and culture with fun together.

. April 9,    Attend Korean Schools contest of My Dream Speaking hosted by Korea Consulate General of Houston

. May 7,     Mother’s Day celebration,  End Semester                 writing letter to parents, closing ceremony, 

On ride we encourage all parents to drop off your children in front of the building till 10:00am  so teachers will bring children to classroom after temperature check on entrance.  Pick up time to go home is 1:30pm. Please keep safe driving in parking lot and keep pick up time for safety. If you need or have special reason please contact teacher or director in advance. If your child has fever or sick please contact in advance and stay child at home for safe recovery. And you can contact anytime if you have any question on K School.

 Items in the first day that student needs to bring: a binder note book, a pencil or ballpoint pen, a water bottle, a face mask,  and an athletic shoes.  (Please mark child name on each personal items)   Mask and shoes need to be worn when come school.
